IMPORTANT UPDATE

Bluey and the 100 kilometre hike is suspended at the moment because I've been busy with essays and other school stuff, plus the fact that I am most likely moving houses. I'm still working on Bluey and the Green Cord Hike, and short stories though, as I want to get the details as correct as they can be. - Your most ehrlich author, Aimee 🐋 PS. Bluey and the 100 Kilometre Hike (Part 4)

02:10 AM - Tuesday, September 15th  I keep swimming along the edge of the shore until I couldn't see anything on the beach I was on and the pole. I felt safe enough that I went out into deeper waters, but I still stayed close enough to the shore that I could get out of the water very quickly if needed. I kept going and going. I noticed, by the bright light, that I had passed the CBD. That's when I noticed a lot of jellyfish again. They were all red and orange, and when they latched onto me they didn't sting as much as the bluebottle did. In fact, they didn't really sting at all. I kept swimming, faster and faster until I reached a piece of land that jutted out from the mainland. I assumed that this was Exmouth, so I swam in closer to the shore. I then swam into the small streams in Cape Range National Park. I had never been to Exmouth, in all of my extravagant journeys, and I was starting to wonder why. I looked up at the sheer cliffs and the red, rocky gorges, and i

01:40 AM – Tuesday September 15 th I immediately pushed the feral shark back into the water, but the damage had been done. When I pulled it up its razor-sharp teeth had sliced into one of my flippers. Fortunately, the gash wasn’t deep, even though the saltwater made it sting terribly. I also couldn’t go back into the water with this cut, as the mother of that thing was bound to be nearby. Once it sensed my blood, all the sharks in the vicinity were bound to be on me like… well… sharks. I reached over to my pack and pulled out a bottle of eater and my first aid kit. I poured the water over the cut to wash away the blood, and then used an antiseptic wipe to clean up and disinfect the wound. I reached into my kit to find some band aids, but when I did, I realised that life really hated me and this hike. I didn’t have anything to properly cover the cut. I had nothing to stop the blood dripping into the water and all the sharks causing a frenzy, and I didn’t want to see if I could out

12:40 AM – Tuesday September 15th I took longer than I would have liked to get out of Point Peron, but that was something that couldn’t be helped. I decided to swim close to the shore, to avoid the jellyfish. Once I passed an area with very few of them, I swam out to deeper waters. At that time, I was going a little slower than 30 km per hour, because I wanted to make up for lost time. Consequently, I reached Busselton Jetty around 10 minutes later. I still didn’t have time for fishing, unfortunately, but it was still too early for the fish to be out anyways.  Instead, I dropped my pack and ate a bit of shrimp salad. It wasn’t as nice as it usually tasted, as it was packed a week earlier for the official weighing of my bag; since I was travelling so far, a couldn’t bring more than fifteen kilograms. It was for a good reason though, and even if the rule wasn’t there, I wouldn’t bring any more than that anyway. Besides, there’s no need for a tent or sleeping gear anyway as my hike is o

Bluey and the 100 Kilometre Hike (Part 1)

It had just turned midnight. I put on my hiking boots, tightened my green cord, and slung on my backpack. It truly wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be. It was mostly the octopodes in my bag that were the heaviest, and they would all be eaten within a few hours. This was only step one to becoming the Ultimate Scout, and the CEO of Scouting. I guess I truly was ambitious. One hundred kilometers in a day? I wasn't sure anyone could do that. Obviously Tommy the Water Bottle did, because he's the current CEO, but he's Tommy the Water Bottle. Of course he could. He just had to roll down Mount Everest a dozen  times after falling out of Lucas's bag (God rest his soul). I, on the other hand, am not either spherical or cylindrical in shape. I also don't have a human who is willing to chase me all the way down Mount Everest a dozen times. I am a Pygmy Whale. I am Bluey. So I spent the last several months mapping out a hike that would cover more than a hundred kilomet
